After losing her mother two years ago and forgoing high school to work odd jobs, Chemi has been living a solitary life in a cramped apartment, mourning the loss of her mother and her pet turtle, Koichiro-san. Her lonely days take a turn when Ken Mitateda, her mother's former stepson, arrives to take her in, knowing she's been living alone. Reluctantly, Chemi moves in with Ken and his two younger brothers, starting an unexpected new chapter of life under one roof. Living with the serious eldest brother, the troublemaking second brother, and the quirky youngest brother, Chemi navigates the chaos and warmth of this makeshift family.
