Beerus, the God of Destruction, wakes after dreaming of a warrior called the Super Saiyan God. His search leads him toward Goku and the other Saiyans on Earth. The Dragon Balls reveal that the form can be reached through a Saiyan ritual. Goku uses that ritual to challenge Beerus with godlike power. The early conflict places Earth at risk while Goku tests a new level of strength.
