Ren Mihashi, a timid and self-doubting pitcher, enrolls at Nishiura High School and reluctantly joins its newly formed baseball team, which consists entirely of first-year students led by a female coach. Despite his lack of confidence, Mihashi’s pitching skills draw the attention of catcher Takaya Abe, who sees potential in him and pushes him to become the team’s ace. The team, a group of quirky and determined players, begins training together, bonding through intense practices and shared goals. Mihashi struggles with his insecurities but starts to gain trust in his teammates, particularly Abe, as they prepare for their first official match. Through teamwork and perseverance, the Nishiura team sets their sights on competing in the national Koshien tournament.
