In the spring of his third year of middle school, Sato discovers Shibata buried under a cherry blossom tree and forms a friendship with him while watching movies together. They decide to create a film for their school’s cultural festival, but Sato is shocked to learn that no one else at school knows who Shibata is. As they work on the project, Shibata’s mysterious presence begins to unsettle Sato. Strange events unfold around their filmmaking efforts, hinting at Shibata’s enigmatic nature. Sato, caught between curiosity and unease, starts to question the reality of his new friend and their shared endeavor.
