Kokonotsu Shikada, a high school boy in a rural town, runs his family’s small dagashi shop while dreaming of becoming a manga artist, despite his father Yo’s insistence that he inherit the business. Hotaru Shidare, an eccentric city girl obsessed with dagashi, arrives and challenges Kokonotsu to prove his knowledge of snacks, aiming to convince him to take over the shop. Their lively exchanges revolve around nostalgic treats like Umaibo and Ramune, blending humor with quirky facts about Japanese snacks. Kokonotsu’s friend Saya Endo, who harbors feelings for him, adds a layer of playful tension to their interactions. The trio’s comedic antics unfold in the shop, kicking off a lighthearted summer filled with dagashi-driven chaos.

A teenage boy named Ko Yamori has stopped attending school and spends his nights wandering the streets, unable to sleep. One night, he encounters a strange girl named Nazuna Nanakusa who introduces herself as a vampire and invites him to her place. Nazuna explains that she only feeds on people she likes and offers Ko the chance to become a vampire himself if he falls in love with her. Ko, feeling a strange attraction to the freedom of the night, begins spending more time with Nazuna as they explore the city after dark. Through their nighttime adventures, Ko starts to experience a side of life he never knew during the day.
