High school student Haru lives a quiet, solitary life until a visit to a remote shrine changes everything. There, he meets Tamamo, a cheerful and caring fox-eared girl who claims to be a deity, determined to repay Haru for his kindness. As Tamamo moves in and starts looking after him, their unlikely companionship brings warmth and laughter to Haru's days.
