Seishuu Handa, a young and talented calligrapher, moves to a remote island in Nagasaki Prefecture after a professional setback, seeking inspiration and solitude. He meets Naru Kotoishi, a lively and curious six-year-old girl who lives on the island and quickly befriends him, often visiting his home uninvited. Seishuu, initially frustrated by Naru’s energetic antics and the quirky island residents, begins adapting to their warm, unconventional community. Through interactions with Naru and others, like the shy teenager Hiroshi and the elderly village chief, Seishuu rediscovers his passion for calligraphy.
