Rintaro Tsumugi, a tall and intimidating high schooler from the rough-and-tumble Chidori High, feels out of place in his delinquent-filled school, yearning for a quieter life helping at his family's bakery. Kaoruko Waguri, a refined and sweet-natured girl from the prestigious Kikyo Girls' Academy, loves pastries and finds solace in Rintaro's family's shop. Despite their schools' bitter rivalry, a chance meeting over sweets sparks an unexpected connection.
