Mouri is a student in a design course at a prefectural high school surrounded by nature. His class is far from a bright, idealized youth. The students drift through ordinary days with little that looks remarkable. Their routines are gray, vague, and still recognizably adolescent. The comedy comes from small school moments that rarely become dramatic.
