Ryoma Akai is sent to a juvenile detention center. There he meets Ikuto Yagura, a dangerous youth who saves him from an attack. The two become close friends after that first violent encounter. A mixed martial artist later visits the center and tells the youths about a fighting tournament called Breaking Down. After their release, Ryoma and Ikuto aim to enter the tournament and rebuild their lives through combat.
