In the heart of Tokyo's Asakusa, the traditional Japanese confectionery shop "Kurimaru-do" stands as a beacon of old-world charm. Ren Kurita, just 19 years old, has taken over the shop after losing his parents, striving to recreate their beloved recipes. His life takes a sweet turn when he meets Aoi, the enigmatic "Princess of Wagashi," introduced to him by a local café owner. Aoi, with her profound knowledge and sharp palate for Japanese sweets, becomes both a mentor and a muse to Ren as he navigates the challenges of running Kurimaru-do. Together, they face daily adventures and mysteries related to wagashi, all while Ren's childhood friend, Asaba, adds a touch of rivalry and romance to their lives.
