Kafu, a kindhearted apprentice painter, is invited to the mystical “Demon Lodge Garden,” which appears in the human world only once every twenty-eight days. There, he meets Tamayura-hime, a shape-shifting spirit who governs all plants and flowers and speaks of the ways of the world. Kafu becomes captivated by her wisdom and beauty, unaware that her touch could shorten a human’s life. Their encounters unfold across changing seasons, with Kafu drawn into the garden’s enchanting yet perilous realm. The delicate bond between them begins to grow, setting the stage for a bittersweet tale of love and fate.
