Asako Gorai returns to her hometown after a divorce. While cleaning her parents' house, she finds the trombone she played as a student. She has not practiced for many years, but she tries playing it again. The instrument becomes a signal for a fresh start at age 40. Music reconnects her with an earlier part of herself as she rebuilds daily life.
