Lady Leticia, the sheltered daughter of an earl, has always been captivated by the romantic tales she reads in novels, though love remains a distant dream. Her life takes an unexpected turn when Alphonse, her loyal butler since childhood, suddenly kisses her, revealing a side of him she never imagined. As their once-clear roles blur, Leticia begins to question whether she’s misjudged the man who’s always been by her side.

Melody is a spirited high school girl with a knack for stumbling into mysteries—and a determination to solve them. Armed with sharp observation skills and an unshakable sense of justice, she tackles strange occurrences around her town, from eerie rumors to puzzling incidents. Joined by her loyal friends, including the logical but cautious Kenta and the cheerful yet impulsive Yui, Melody's investigations unravel secrets that are deeper—and sometimes more dangerous—than they first appear.

Lady Melody marries Alfred despite the difference in their social positions. Alfred had served her as a butler before becoming her husband. The newlyweds move to a house in the British countryside. Their new life begins among unfamiliar neighbors. The early setup focuses on how their marriage adjusts to a quiet rural home.
