Ika Musume, a squid-like girl from the sea, emerges on land with plans to invade humanity as punishment for ocean pollution. She targets a beachside restaurant, Lemon Beach House, run by the Aizawa siblings, Eiko and Chizuru, aiming to make it her invasion base. Her initial attempt fails when she accidentally damages the restaurant, forcing her to work there as a waitress to pay off the debt. Ika’s naive and playful nature leads to comedic misadventures as she interacts with Eiko, the no-nonsense sister, and other quirky locals like the obsessive Sanae. Despite her grand invasion goals, Ika’s efforts are thwarted by her curiosity about human life and her growing bonds with the beach community.
