Ai Ichimonji is a new teacher assigned to Namino Middle School. She is clumsy, easily flustered, and often late or tearful, but she wants to become a capable teacher. Her first days bring mistakes such as falling from the stage during a greeting. The students in her class include pranksters and difficult personalities. Even so, her warmth and energy begin to win them over.
