Reiji Kurose is a high schooler trapped in a small, suffocating town, bound by family obligations and a sense of hopelessness. Living with his overworked mother, shut-in brother, and ailing grandmother, he feels his life is going nowhere—until he meets Nagi Aoe, a former idol who seems to offer an escape from his mundane existence.
