Mari, a high school student in a town where humans and beastfolk coexist, meets Tsunagu, a beastfolk transfer student enrolled as a special case in a human education program. Initially wary of beastfolk due to societal prejudice, Mari is drawn to Tsunagu’s gentle and sincere personality as they spend time together in class. Tensions arise when some classmates, skeptical of beastfolk, lock Mari and Tsunagu in a warehouse, leading to an intense moment where Tsunagu instinctively embraces her, overwhelmed by her scent. Their growing attraction faces challenges from external biases and their own uncertainties about crossing species boundaries. Through shared moments and quiet support, Mari and Tsunagu begin to explore a fragile yet heartfelt connection that defies the norms of their world.
