As a child, the protagonist promised his parents he would reach Koshien in the same uniform as his father. He grows into a top ace pitcher and expects to enter his father's powerhouse school. A sudden pain in his elbow threatens that future. Injured and uncertain, he wonders whether he can return to the mound. His first goal becomes recovery and another path toward Koshien.
