A nameless boy, born from an ogre’s corpse, wields a sacred sword to hunt ogres across various historical eras in Japan. Suzuka Osanai, a high school girl and reincarnation of the ogre Suzuka Gozen, regains her memories and joins the boy in his battles. The boy, lacking typical ogre traits like horns, travels through time, confronting ogres born from human negativity. Suzuka, wielding a powerful blade called Daitsu Ren, aids the boy while grappling with her dual identity as human and ogre. Key events involve their encounters with ogres tied to historical figures and tragic human stories.
