The setting is a stylish, mysterious version of Britain. Some episodes center on an aristocratic bachelor named Cornelius. Others follow a boy taken into a strange mansion where imagined things become real. Another episode involves a parent and child who study psychic phenomena while investigating a haunting. The linked tales mix romance, mystery, fantasy, and short character-focused incidents.

Itsuko decides to sell an old kimono inherited from her grandmother. She visits a mysterious secondhand kimono shop for help. There she meets a kimono-clad owner and a beautiful clerk. The shop handles both old clothing and the feelings tied to it. Her visit leads to a strange experience connected to the kimono.
