After losing her father and moving to a new town with her family, high schooler Moe Sasaki struggles to fit in, feeling isolated and lonely. During a school fire drill, she's unexpectedly "rescued" by Kyosuke Ebihara, a gruff but kind-hearted firefighter, in front of her classmates—an embarrassing moment that sparks an unlikely connection. Inspired by Kyosuke's quiet strength, Moe begins to find the courage to step out of her shell, aiming to leave her "loner" days behind. As she visits the fire station and grows closer to Kyosuke and his team, Moe navigates the challenges of youth, friendship, and budding feelings, discovering that heroes come in many forms.
