Shota Kamine can see the shapes of people's hearts. He tries to use the ability to help others, but his efforts keep failing. On a school rooftop, saxophonist Hibiki Tokisaka moves him with the sound of his music. Shota visits the brass band and sees Hibiki's performance stir the hearts of the audience. Their meeting gives Shota a new way to understand both music and other people.
