One day, while walking her dog, middle schooler Saki stumbles upon a mysterious giant egg that hatches into a peculiar creature—a self-proclaimed "kaiju" with the appearance of a lizard. Despite its grand claims, the creature, dubbed "Tokage-chan" by Saki and her older sister Hitomi, is more quirky than monstrous, and the sisters decide to let it live with them. As Tokage-chan adapts to life in their home, the trio navigates the chaos and comedy of daily life, from unexpected antics to heartwarming moments of connection.
