In Finland’s snowy Lapland region, Jun, a 17-year-old Japanese youth with striking full-body tattoos, arrives at a small hotel called Metsäpeura during a blizzard. The hotel is run by two elderly gentlemen: Adolf, a refined manager with a military past, and Kusta, a gruff but caring chef. Jun, who is searching for his mother and carries a mysterious background, is offered work and shelter at the hotel. As he learns the ropes of hotel work, Jun forms bonds with Adolf and Kusta, who guide him with warmth and occasional sternness. Set against the stark beauty of Lapland’s winter, their interactions unfold through daily tasks and heartfelt moments.
