Nobuhisa Ide is an energetic young track runner. After a competition, he encounters a girl practicing tennis and becomes fascinated by her. She promises to teach him the sport. He studies to enter the same high school after seeing the name on her racket bag. At school, he joins the tennis club and discovers that his search was based on a mistaken reading.
