Senko is a new high school teacher assigned to her own class. She tries to guide students with love and courage, but her enthusiasm keeps missing its mark. The students boycott her lessons, leaving the classroom empty. Her younger lover Shinobu, who is also a student, supports her as trouble builds. She must face teenagers whose lives carry both brightness and darkness.

Miyu is an eighth-grade student whose parents leave for work at NASA. She is sent to stay with her uncle, but he soon leaves for India. Miyu ends up living with her cousin Kanata in his house. A UFO lands there with a baby named Ruu and a caretaker named Wannya. Their sudden arrival turns the household into an improvised family.
