In Tokyo during the 2020 emergency declaration, Miyoko grows increasingly lonely. Her husband works from home, yet the emotional distance between them widens. Their neighbor Ushiku offers her gentle comfort from next door. He is also suffering because the restaurant where he works has closed. The two adults begin leaning on each other while trying not to cross a line.
