Michiru, a teenage boy with no sense of belonging at home or school, is unexpectedly proposed to by Hikari, a clumsy but kind older woman who lives nearby. Hikari, revealed to be an angelic being, becomes his sole source of comfort in a bleak world. After a sudden apocalyptic event devastates their surroundings, the two begin a new life together in a desolate landscape. Their unconventional "newlywed" life involves scavenging for supplies and adapting to their harsh environment while deepening their bond. Through daily challenges, Michiru and Hikari navigate their relationship, finding solace and purpose in each other amidst the ruins.
