Shizuku Mizutani is a studious high school girl with no interest in anything beyond her grades and future plans—until she's tasked with delivering class notes to Haru Yoshida, a boy notorious for his absence since a violent incident on the first day of school. Haru, impulsive and socially awkward, immediately declares Shizuku his friend, throwing her carefully ordered life into chaos.
