In the early Taisho era, Tamahiko Shima, the second son of a wealthy family, is banished to a remote mountain villa after a tragic accident leaves him disillusioned and estranged from his family. Resigned to a life of solitude, his world shifts when Yuzuki Tachibana, a cheerful and optimistic girl, arrives as his arranged bride, sent by his family to care for him.
