In Taisho-era Japan, Kazunari Kyogoku, a shrewd company president, can hear people’s inner thoughts, a gift that fuels his success but leaves him cynical and distrustful. Seeking wealth and connections, he proposes to Nana Suwabe, a mute noblewoman from the prestigious Suwabe family, only to find he cannot hear her thoughts, sparking his curiosity. Despite his initial ulterior motives, their impulsive marriage marks the beginning of an awkward yet tender relationship.
