Erika Hasumi, a high school freshman, feels isolated as her middle school friends have moved on to different schools. One day, while lost in a cemetery, she meets a kind man who helps her find her way, sparking an unexpected connection. At school, she struggles to fit in, but her encounter with the man lingers in her thoughts. Meanwhile, a seaside diner serves as a backdrop where various characters, including a struggling comedian duo and a mother-daughter pair in conflict, cross paths. Through these interactions, Erika begins to navigate her loneliness and discover new perspectives on connection and belonging.
