Sensei, a troubled writer, finds himself transported to a fantasy world after a failed suicide attempt involving his lover, Sacchan. In this new realm, he is mistaken for a hero by an elf priestess named Annette, who summoned him to combat a dark force. Disinterested in heroism, Sensei wanders off and encounters a catgirl he names Tama, whom he rescues from danger. His primary goal remains finding Sacchan, as he believes she may have also arrived in this world. Along his journey, Sensei reluctantly becomes entangled with a group of former heroes who have succumbed to their own desires. The narrative follows his aimless travels and interactions with these characters as he navigates this unfamiliar land.
