Toshizo Kitakata, a former chef at Hakodate’s Goryokaku-Tei, takes on the role of a restaurant revival consultant, tasked with saving struggling eateries. In his first challenge, he arrives at a failing ramen shop, undermined by a nearby rival selling lavish, high-priced ramen. Hired by Maiko, the shop owner’s childhood friend, Toshizo analyzes the owner’s decline from a skilled chef to one relying on quick, subpar dishes. He imposes unconventional training, sending the owner to work at a pachinko parlor to rebuild his customer service skills. Through rigorous methods, Toshizo pushes the owner to rediscover his passion for crafting delicious, affordable ramen to win back customers.
