In a world where the ordinary meets the absurd, 日常 follows the daily lives of three high school girls and their quirky community. Mio Naganohara, a passionate artist with a short temper; Yuuko Aioi, a cheerful but clumsy optimist; and Mai Minakami, a quiet prankster with a deadpan sense of humor, navigate school life filled with surreal twists. From a principal wrestling a deer to a robot girl, Nano, worrying about her wind-up key, and her creator, the child prodigy Hakase, causing chaos, every day is anything but normal.

Satsuki Shirai, a confident and accomplished high school girl, enters an arranged engagement with Kuon Arisugawa, a talented high school Go player. Expecting a perfect life together, Satsuki is taken aback by Kuon’s cold and distant demeanor, including a strict rule against entering his room. Determined to win his affection, she employs her charm and skills, but her efforts initially fall flat against his aloofness. Their daily interactions spark a mix of frustration and subtle romantic tension as Satsuki persists in breaking through Kuon’s emotional walls. The couple’s early married life becomes a battle of wits and hearts, centered on Satsuki’s quest to make Kuon smile at her the way he did during their first meeting.
