Mairu Kinoshita, a high school girl with low self-esteem, dresses plainly with messy hair and glasses, feeling invisible and resigned to being unattractive. Her classmate Tenyu Narutomi, a popular and blunt boy, notices her effort in cleaning and sparks her desire to change. With help from her fashionable friend Fuwari, Mairu undergoes a dramatic makeover, learning makeup and styling to boost her confidence. As she navigates her new appearance, Mairu attracts attention, including from boys, and begins exploring her first romantic feelings. Set in a typical high school, her transformation unfolds alongside budding friendships and emotional growth.
