Fumi is a second-year high school student burdened by her father's debts. To repay them, she takes a job as a live-in housekeeper. Her employer is Akatsuki, a strict and unsociable novelist with a difficult attitude. The new arrangement forces Fumi into an unfamiliar town and an uneasy shared home.
