Retsu Nagato enters high school feeling ordinary and frustrated. Older students target him soon after enrollment, leaving him angry at his own weakness. A second-year student named Shun Anan appears and rescues him with ease. Impressed by Anan's strength, Retsu decides he wants to become like him. His first step is to visit the kendo club where Anan trains.
