Middle schooler Kozume Asakura leads a lonely life with her father often away on business and her mother deceased. Her solitude is broken when she discovers a "magic spell" that supposedly reveals the future. Curiosity leads her to try it, and to her astonishment, a baby named Ai, claiming to be her future daughter, appears from a mirror. Alongside her childhood friend and neighbor, Makoto Hanano, Kozume embarks on an unexpected journey of childcare, blending the chaos of raising a child with the sweet confusion of young love.
