Rikka attends Koryo University Junior High and lives with Saku, two fathers, and two mothers. Her older sister and older brother have moved out, leaving the younger household to feel normal to her. She later learns that the family situation is more complicated than she had understood. Saku tells her that they are still family even without a blood connection. At school, a rainy encounter with Aoi gives Rikka her first strong romantic flutter.
