Aiko Kuon is 23 and works for an undertaker. At the funeral of a boy she once loved, she meets his brother Kiyomi and a young boy named Ren. Ren has no other relatives nearby. Aiko confronts Kiyomi and asks him to take responsibility for the child. Kiyomi responds with an outrageous condition that pulls Aiko into his life.
