Jun Sakurada has withdrawn from school after being hurt by classmates. A sentient doll named Shinku chooses him as her master. She is one of seven living dolls linked by magical gems. The dolls are drawn into a contest to become a perfect being called Alice. Jun is pulled from isolation into battles and uneasy companionship.
