Sumire, called Su, is a single mother raising her young daughter Nonno. She lost her parents and once felt completely alone. During that time she met Akira, fell deeply in love, and became pregnant. Akira dies while wishing happiness for Su and their child. Su and three-year-old Nonno face demanding days that still bring small discoveries and warmth.
