Akane Nishimura is an elementary school girl whose gloomy look leads her classmates to treat her like a cursed “Grim Reaper”. At school she is isolated and left without friends because of constant bullying. Taiyou Takada arrives as a transfer student and, instead of fearing her, is excited by what he thinks are her amazing powers. His blunt friendliness pulls Akane into everyday moments she had been missing. Their early bond turns ordinary school days into something warmer and brighter for her.
