Asahi Suzuki is a manga artist who once worked as a nursery teacher. A letter arrives from Takane Yamamoto, a former pupil he remembers from that job. Their reunion reveals that Takane has been living apart from his mother in a children's home. Asahi begins facing the question of whether he can raise someone else's child. The setup centers on foster care, chosen family, and the bond between a single man and a boy.
