Kon is a middle schooler living in a world where periodic exceptional phenomena called bugs appear regularly. He works as an unofficial assistant to his landlady, Kasane Himesaki, a leading researcher who studies these abnormalities. Each day brings odd changes, from playful surprises to inconvenient disruptions. Their shared house life turns strange events into part of daily routine. Ordinary moments become unusual because the world keeps malfunctioning around them.
