After defeating the Demon King, the legendary hero party disbands, and Frieren, an immortal elf mage, continues her eternal journey. Decades later, the deaths of her human companions, Himmel the hero and Heiter the priest, awaken Frieren to the fleeting nature of mortal lives and the regrets of unspoken bonds. Inspired to understand humanity better, she takes on Fern, a young mage apprentice, and later Eisen's disciple Stark, embarking on a quest to revisit the places she once traveled with her old party. As they explore ancient ruins and face lingering threats, Frieren's journey becomes a meditation on time, memory, and the connections that give life meaning.
