A 31-year-old ceramic painter works at a kiln in Hasami, a town known for porcelain. A 27-year-old potter returns from Finland to relearn porcelain work in Japan. He keeps others at a distance and says he has no interest in painted vessels. His attitude angers her because it feels like a rejection of her own work. Their first contact at the kiln begins with friction, curiosity, and respect for craft.
