A sixteen-year-old high school girl feels restless after an unrequited crush at her part-time job collapses. At her lowest point, she meets a college student carrying a guitar. He is an otaku musician, and their unlikely meeting pulls her toward music. She soon becomes involved with him and a friend in an anime-song band. The early romance follows awkward feelings, amateur practice, and a new place to belong.
